The path runs more or less along the Tellingham River. The trail ends at some ancient willows and hedges of various woody plants, such as hawthorn, blackthorn, and hazel.

It's a fun walk along the Tellingham Stream, which flows into the River Rother in Rye. It offers sweeping views of the marshland. Farmers created pasture for sheep and cows centuries ago through numerous drainage ditches.

You have lovely views across to Camber Sands from here. Camber Sands is a popular beach with great sand dunes to explore, but it is obviously on the other side of the Rother River if you want to get there. There is a parking area here too, so you can walk to the headland to have a look out over Rye Bay, walk on the shingle beach when the tide is out, or explore some of the old pillbox fortifications in the area.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is located on the site of former gravel pits. The gravel was mainly used for the production of concrete and for road construction. Today, a large number of different birds flock here as the seasons change. Some birds are loyal to their location, most are migratory. There is also a lot to offer plant lovers, as there are various habitats. Water-loving plants, plants that tolerate drought in gravel and plants for alternating wet and dry locations can be found.

Rye as few people know it: This idyllic path with lovely benches runs along the Tillingham stream. Here you feel like you are far away from the hustle and bustle, and only minutes from the city centre!

There are lots of lakes between Rye and Camber Sands, this is the biggest. There are only a few places where you can get to the water! According to the sign, the path along the left bank towards Rye is closed until around October 24th due to work. The path on the right is OK, but it's asphalt and always along the road, nice for cycling, but a bit boring for us to walk.
