It is being developed into a nature reserve, has a footpath running through it and a couple of benches should you want to take a picnic down there or just sit and enjoy the countryside all around you. The area is left as natural as possible with trees and wild flowers. There are picnic benches.

Really trying to make this a community hub. Great to see. All food is home-made.

There is a tearoom / eatery called the Lock Inn on the left hand bank. Access over the bridge.

Really good stop. Always very friendly. If you are looking for a table/booking for special occasion then you might want to book as it can get busy.

Visited this cafe when setting up a community cafe ourselves. Very friendly and welcoming. Small but perfectly formed! We had a nice brunch there and they were very cycling friendly.
