So close to the centre of the town, Tunbridge Wells Common is a great place for running. With sandstone rock formations dotted about, there is plenty to see as well as woodlands and wildlife. Until 1851, a racecourse was situated on the common, with Princess Victoria being a racegoer in 1834. The course is now a footpath and bridleway and can be followed on foot.

The latter part of this ride is parallel to the Spa Valley Railway. James saw a Dear in the woods as we rode by. Orange coloured water leaks from the heath onto the roads.
