Republic Square, or Hraparak (City Square) for short; Lenin Square until 1991, is the central square in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The two-part square and the surrounding buildings were built between 1924 and 1977 (Wikipedia).

Republic Square consists of two sections. One consists of an oval roundabout with a stone pattern in the middle, which looks like a traditional Armenian carpet from above. The second, trapezoidal section is decorated with a fountain with a water organ in front of the museum building. The square is surrounded by five main buildings made of pink and yellow tuff with a basalt base. The neoclassical style buildings display many Armenian motifs.
