🇲🇺 Mare Longue Reservoir - here the Mare Longue Trail passes in a very little frequented area

Beautiful, but be careful, the times given for the entire waterfall circuit shown are not correct (without a guide, only with Komoot)! We - really not unathletic - needed 6 hours instead of the stated 1:59, a couple running in the opposite direction, whom we met twice, even needed 8! Because of the underestimated time, we didn't have enough to drink with us, so it's better to take too much with you! Be prepared for some climbing on rocky stream slopes, because the main category "hiking trail" does not apply, shortly after the upper falls it becomes largely impassable, confusing and mediocrely marked terrain.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do a circular tour of the waterfall. If you come from above, there is no path to get to the lower part of the waterfall. Although it is only a few hundred meters 🤔

The return journey via the Pilgrims Path is possible again. 😍

There is no direct path to the foot of the waterfall, although it is only about 150m as the crow flies. I tried it, but it didn't work.

With a nice place to stay in the shade or even when it rains. If it's wet, you should avoid the steep path and take the slightly longer route instead.
