Great pit stop for coffee and cake. No indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating round the back and covered seating with blankets and heaters round the front. Cake is TASTY!

Racks for bikes provided. Hot food until 14:30. After that you can still get coffee & cake. Very good pasties.

Just a small diversion from the delightful but popular (ie busy) drive running along the south side of Bradgate Park.

A good place to take a breather and watch the boats. Cotes Road and South Street provide a nice, quiet north - south run avoiding the A6 on the other side of the river.

Traffic lights both sides. Nasty little climb up towards the village that will take the wind out of your sails!

Great spot on the river coming into Barrow via Broadway Meadow

Belvoir Castle sits ontop of a hill rising over the valley of Belvoir, commanding views of North Leicestershire for many miles. The house has been the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland with the family living at Belvoir for almost a thousand years. The land was a gift from William the Conqueror to one of his Normal barons who fought for him at the Battle of Hastings 1066. The house and gardens can be visited with a cafe to take a break. Cropston Reservoir is a 100 acre trout fishery. The dam is 690 m long and rises to a height of 16 m at its highest point, which gives a water depth of up to 12 m. The reservoir was completed in 1870.

Soulless coffee shop in a soulless shopping park in a soulless town.

Note: The nice little independent Cafe Allez has now been replaced by the castle run coffee shop so they could cut out the people who built it up from nothing. Up to you if you want to give them your business.
