Dramatic sunsets looking downstream over the Zhuoshui River- Taiwan’s longest river, dividing north and south. There’s a lovely ride south from here along the flood wall, just be aware there are only a few ramps where you can get off again; plenty of stairs though.

One of the most beautiful pieces when circumnavigating the lake: turquoise water, floating islands and a shady path - just fantastic :) Beware of the trees on the path.

Absolutely amazing network of bike paths surrounding the city and its boroughs. It's situated outside the city's flood gates away from, for the most part, annoying scooter and car traffic. Truly an oasis for cycling, running and walking... Very popular with locals for exercising. There are lots of smaller parks and baseball stadiums, too. Highly recommended when visiting Taipei. In case you don't bring your own bike, just use Taipei's YouBike shared bikes. They are super cheap and fairly comfy;)
