These were donated by Austrian sovereigns, friendly forest towns and the county of Hauenstein, as well as local nobles who were in the service of the Habsburgs. 10 princes and 8 citizens' portraits depict personalities from Rheinfelden's history: Among others, Emperor Ferdinand I and Maria Theresa.
