Push over the little kicker coming from Ashton and put the hammer down to fly into Mickleton.

This is one of England's tallest remaining maypoles. It is a striped pole that stands over 20 metres high. It has been present since the days of Shakespeare, and its original incarnation was made of wood (until it was struck by lightning and destroyed). The current pole is made of aluminium and is officially a Grade II historical monument listed by English Heritage.

NCN 442, which goes from Long Hanborough to Worcester and NCN 41, which goes from Rugby to the centre of Bristol, intercept here and go along Badsey bridleway to Evesham.

Small hill with nice views of Cotswolds/Welford. The road surface is pretty bad in Welford direction but gets significantly better as approaches Long Marston.

Has a statue of Shakespeare on it if your looking for them

Beautiful and well preserved half-timbered building, you will not find many in similar style and quality around. Even if you do not enter the museum it is worth a detour to have a view.

The Hall was built in the reign of Charles I and throughout its chequered history has seen calamitous events including being extensively damaged from a gunpowder explosion in 1643. Just over a century later the Hall was actually pulled down but re-built the following year. In 1863 major alterations resulted in a Hall very much as you see it today. Ill fate dogged it again in 1946 when fire, started from a cigarette, completely gutted the beautifully proportioned Ballroom, when a valuable painting by Gainsborough of David Garrick was destroyed. The Town Hall houses many interesting and historic paintings and treasures and it is unsurprising that today smoking is definitely not permitted. Dovers Hill is a good climb with decent road surface, steep in places but fairly constant gradient. Enjoy!

Partially inspired by the decorations at Wells Cathedral, the Grade I listed church building dates from the late 13th century onwards with medieval and some later additions; it seats 140. There is a band of bell ringers and a flower guild and a church and brass cleaning rota.[4][6] Some of the most striking features are Victorian glass but fragments of medieval glass also survive.[4][26] One window was designed by Frederick Preedy, a renowned Victorian church architects; he was born in 1820 at Offenham, near Evesham, and worked in Worcester before moving to London

Steep climb leading from Aston up the edge of the Cotswolds. The beginning of the climb, as you exit Aston, is gentle. It ramps up quickly after the village to 10-14% and remains at that grade all the way to the top. While steep, the climb is steady, making it easy to get into a good rhythm. Road surface is good.

Good for leisure cycling. Traffic free connection between Meon Vale and Stratford. From here plenty of routes into the Northern Cotswolds open up. Not so suitable for sports cyclists, due to the track surface and the mixed use.

The trig point and view point is about 100m from the road, well worth the push. It's at 230m above sea levels and offers great views north and north-west. Drovers Hill is one of the top 100 road climbs in the UK a tough challenge and a separate highlight.

Dover's Hill, number 13 in the top 100 climbs in the country. This hill has been used several times in the hill climbing championships. It's about 1 mile long with 135m of elevation gain, mostly at about 10% gradient.
