Green Lane Bridge No 51 is a minor waterways place on the Stratford-on-Avon Canal (Southern Section) between Yarningale Aqueduct (2 miles and 3 furlongs and 5 locks to the northeast) and Edstone Aqueduct (southern end) (1 mile and 7¾ furlongs and 1 lock to the south). The nearest place in the direction of Yarningale Aqueduct is Preston Hill Farm Bridge No 50; 2¼ furlongs away. The nearest place in the direction of Edstone Aqueduct (southern end) is Footbridge No 52; 2¼ furlongs away.

Good quality track. It can get a little muddy when wet.

A superb track linking Newnham and Aston Cantlow. It gets a little techy in the middle and if your heading westward there's a tough climb to get up.

Great stop for a snack with cakes, pastries, sandwiches and scones available with a cup of Italian coffee. Open Tuesday-Friday: 10am-5pm.

Coming out of the woods to these top fields, the views are wonderful. Off road shoes required. Path is well kept.

Ride the locks uphill in the dry, for the sense of achievement, but if it is muddy this can be a slog or, going down the locks is probably more fun.

Tardebigge Top Lock is the summit of the 30-lock Tardebigge flight - the longest in the UK. From 1810-1814 it was the site of an experiemental man-powered boat lift. If you arrive at the Tardebigge marina from the Alcester Road, the canal is downhill all the way to Hanbury, then flat to Worcester. Easier tackled in that direction!
