Of course we would have loved to sample some food, but even so, or especially in winter, the climb was worthwhile. 😎👌🌡️🥶😂

You should have good footing, but it's only a short, steep climb. You'll be rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view. It's worth it!

A beautiful view of a historic forest and pasture pasture at what is now the Dammwiese rest area. Shepherds used to guard the herds on these forest pastures. With the creation of fenced pasture pastures, this job eventually became obsolete. An information board at the rest area below provides further background information.
