The path is passable again until the next storm. Monastery staff have repaired the wooden fence and the path has been patched up.

During excavation work on the playground in the old brewery garden, remains of the wall come to light. It's unclear whether archeologists were called in, but the excavator driver obviously recognized that the bricks weren't just dumped... Incidentally, archaeological finds from the telecommunications age also came to light: yellow markings for telephone cables.

For years you could go for a walk here. But tree felling work has been going on here for months - although this is no longer carried out by people, but by storms. This means: There are branches here and there on the path and you have to walk under fallen trees. And of course always listen and see if another branch comes loose. So do it at your own risk! At the lower end of the route, the municipality of Zangberg has repaired the railings and stairs.

This is where the Wagnerwirt inn stood. Some memories are still visible. Apartments will be built here soon.

The large chapel by the church is also worth seeing. You will find a tavern diagonally across from the church tower. To the west there is a butcher's shop with a snack bar. The old town center of Ampfing is located around the church.
