The River Witham rises in Grantham, and here at Boston it flows into The Haven, which is a tidal arm of The Wash.

Boston Lock is a tidal lock between the River Witham and The Haven. It also hosts a great cafe, for a pre-run coffee and post-run refuel.

Nice views of the Great Tower of Tattershall Castle and the Collegiate Church of the Holy Trinity, buildings that were the brainchild of Lord Cromwell, then Chancellor to Henry VI.

Great afternoon exploring Tattershall Castle. with extra highlights of fly pasts of the Battle of Britain Spitfire & Lancaster Bomber. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history. tour can be completed in a couple of hours National Trust members get free entry. free car parking. wheelchair users or those unsteady on their legs will probably find the tower inaccessible. staff were friendly & knowledgeable. Close to Woodhall Spa & RAF Conningsby

A fab Cafe run by fab people. Excellent coffee, homemade lemonade, delicious smoked salmon bagel.

Fab cafe tucked away behind the Minster. Fairly secure outside area suitable for racking bikes. Great selection of food and cakes with extensive veggie, vegan, and gluten free options.
