A nice area to watch the rowers on the Cam, make sure to be careful along the paths as they are in constant use by cyclists, runners and ill-focused tourists.

A nice stretch of towpath, just watch out for the trainers on bikes if there are rowers in the water, as their focus is elsewhere.

Currently the footpath exit at the bottom of Barnwell Road to closed, this includes access to Chisholm Trail. Chisholm Trial access is still possible from the train line side.

Great long stretch to just peddle with a few stops due to roads or pedestrian crossings. Downside it's not well protected/covered against the wind so it is easy for that to slow you down.

An easy ride out, nice smooth tarmac. Plenty of places for coffee if you reach St Ives. Can be windy with it being so open.

Historic lock with seeing. Typically the rowing clubs turn on one side, while the ponters are on the other side of the lock. Occasionally you can see a houseboat passing through.

Jesus Lock is Lock #1 on the River Cam, built in 1836 and the only lock in the city of Cambridge. The stretch of water between Jesus Lock and Baits Bite Lock is very popular for rowing. There are also many residential boats here, forming a community called the Camboaters.
