This place is actually called "Schranke" (barrier) and refers to the crossing from the Gaming side (Brettl) through the Poggaugraben to Reinsberg. In my youth, there was one summer when I drove up from the village to the barrier every day.

The Kappler Alm is a managed alpine pasture in Reinsberg. It is only occupied in the summer months when the cows are on the pasture.
