A good place to cross the river Cam, makes a good short cut from Newmarket Road to Chesterton.

Ramsey Abbey, nice historic area with good cake shops near by

Decent stretch of road , best avoided in peak times. A few potholes but in general a good surface.

Great long stretch to just peddle with a few stops due to roads or pedestrian crossings. Downside it's not well protected/covered against the wind so it is easy for that to slow you down.

Provides a direct link from Cambridge North station and the busway to the city centre.

Big views from the high ground beyond Monks Wood northwards for miles across the fen, with wind turbines studding the horizon in the distance.

Cyclist-friendly cafe with outdoor seating. No specific bike parking although there's plenty of spots to prop a bike outside.

Wide road with smooth tarmac that follows the high ridge through the Giddings (Great, Little & Steeple), with open views across the country.

Cycle and foot bridge next to the railway. On the Fen Rivers Way route this would be a good spot to choose what side of the river you want to walk along

Ring first to check as it says not open until 9.30 I spoke to the lady and said she would accommodate group of cyclists if notice was given nice coffee and bacon sandwich 👍

One of our 2 favourite coffee stops in Oundle. Normally have a vegan cake option, sadly didn't on our last visit.

Nice flat route into Cambridge from Trumpington Park and Ride.

The middle section is pretty lumpy and bumpy but rideable. Lots of wide and empty Fenland landscapes. The southern end crosses the Ouse Washes by Gault Bridge and the road can flood after heavy rains.

The bridge over the river north of Turves is the highest point for miles around!

Meeting point of two very straight channels gives a noteable view.
