Fantastic views over Cambridgeshire

You can find similar markers on lots of roads in the area that cross the meridian line.

Running along the route of an ancient track, the Mare Way is an integral part of Wimpole. With gorgeous views of the surrounding Cambridgeshire countryside, the Mare Way is a must-travel route for anyone visiting Wimpole.

Scenic yes, but I do not recall any gravel. It did tend to be quite muddy in parts in late-October.

Note that if heading to Great Eversden, it's actually a (nice) descent. :)

Stunning church and lots of great riding in the area.

Kingston, just to the north, is prettier.

Double ford with short section of lane in between that floods after heavy rain - there is an elevated path if you don’t fancy riding through the water.

Gravel car park and forecourt so enter with care.

Brilliant little climb on a gravel section.

A nice little Cambridgeshire village.

Excellent stop for a breakfast. not open on Sundays.
