Great place to stop for a bit of food or just a coffee. Bike racks and tables inside and out. Today I had a very tasty beetroot and goats cheese tatin with some great wedges and garlic mayo.

A small, bustling town on the edge of the Peak District, with numerous independent cafés, shops and pubs. During the Industrial Revolution, Bollington was a centre for cotton mills, quarries and coal mines. Many of the historic mills are still standing, now mostly converted to apartments.

Very quiet, but the surface has deteriorated badly, especially near the top. Look out for the owl 🦉🦉

A pleasant lane nice during autumn and early spring. You can often spot Blur Bells growing along the way.

Also pass Tatton Park on the charity ride Manchester 100. It can get very busy around the park with cars looking for a parking space. They refuse to give you any room. So take extra care.

Kickback Coffee is an excellent coffee shop in Pott Shrigley in the Cheshire Peak District that serves lovely brews and is popular with hikers, cyclists and all kinds of outdoor adventurers. The staff are knowledgable and friendly, while they'll also take pride in showing off the huge Giesen W15 coffee roasting machine. On top of all this, the Roastery is a Trash Free Trails community hub, helping to protect the trails, the national park and all our wild places.

Nice little crossroads with benches under the tree. Good spot to take a breather or have a snack.

Fabulous little coffee shop on South Street, not on the busy main road, with a lovely outdoor area. The coffee, provided by Kickback, is expertly prepared by the lovely owner, Anna, and the soup, sandwiches and cakes are to die for!!
