Lake Piburg is an absolute dream. It's located in the middle of the mountains, is pleasantly warm, and the water is wonderfully clear.

Beautiful cycle path along the Ötz

The Ötztaler Ache accompanies you on many hiking and cycling tours through the Ötztal and its wild water provides impressive natural moments. Along the river you will find great routes for gravel bikers, mountain bikers and hikers, often with spectacular gorges and suspension bridges. The section near Umhausen is particularly beautiful, where you can experience the power of the water up close. Perfect for a tour with a nature and adventure factor!

Niederthai is a perfect starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours to the most beautiful alpine pastures in the Ötztal. From here you can reach destinations such as the Schweinfurter Hütte, the Larstigalm or the Hemerkogel tour. The well-developed paths offer both relaxed and challenging routes. Perfect for nature lovers who want to enjoy alpine landscapes!

If you cycle along the Ötztal cycle path, you will also pass the Engelswand climbing garden. Here you can take a break and relieve yourself if necessary, as there are sanitary facilities. Please be considerate of the grazing animals and follow the rules on site. Only wear a helmet on the meadow in front of the wall and do not picnic there. The rules can be read on site. It is first and foremost a climbing garden. Nevertheless, I would like to recommend this place to cyclists too.
