Always a calming view looking back at the city from up the top of the valley.

Great way to cycle from Ladybower dam or Bamford to Hope and avoid the main road traffic. Quiet most of the time with the odd tractor, popular with hikers and cyclists. Wonderful views looking upto Shatton Moor.

Lock bike up outside and enjoy a hot drink and lovely cakes 👍

Friendly cafe with good value food.

Damflask Reservoir is a wonderful place for relaxation and recreation. An easygoing path encircles the body of water, which is suitable for all abilities. An easy and fulfilling hike for those with little ones. An easily accessible place that is idyllic can, of course, get very busy at peak times and/or sunny days. Choose your time to explore wisely if you want some tranquillity.

The road here passes along the damn wall of Ingbirchworth Reservoir giving great views across the water. It is a popular spot for bird watching and fishing. During very dry spells and drought, the bridge over the river that was dammed can be seen emerging from the water, Summer Ford Bridge.

Emley Moor Mast is a TV transmitter that is the tallest free standing tower in the UK. At 319m high (1047ft), it is taller than the Eiffel Tower. It provides television coverage for most of Yorkshire and across to Manchester and the Pennines. The mast dominates the skyline around here and can be seen for miles.

Testing climb rewarded after half way with great views over Dale Dike Reservoir and towards Strines. Rarely any cars

Great bike friendly cafe with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Great selection of cakes and they also do hot food before 2.30. Bike stands to park your bike up outside too. There's also a petting farm just beind the cafe so it's a great spot to add in to a walk or ride with children.

Brilliant view from here towards Sheffield. It's a lovely road to make your way out or back in to Sheffield on and whatever the weather it's always atmospheric.

Great ride either way within short ride of Sheffield..smooth road...great views...try the Sugworth Road off before Manchester Road and spot Boot's Folly..its why we love and live in the Outdoor City!

This is by far the best way to Hassop from Baslow as it avoids the fast road from Calver. Plus, as you ascend or descend, be sure to stop and admire the great views of Curbar and Baslow Edge in one direction and Chatsworth in the other.
