A 2km arrow-straight driveway across the Holkham Park estate, overlooked by the impressive obelisk. Largely traffic free apart from a few vehicles accessing the estate.

Pleasant enough village but nothing exceptional. A convenience store and a handy deli if you're looking for a refreshment stop.

Look through the gatehouse on the main village street and you can see the impressive east arch visible through it.

On the stone roof is 'The Beacon'. The pump house was built c1550 and has a brazier on top, which is lit at times of special celebration.
