Great little cafe. Good range of breakfast and cakes. Reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of easy / safe bike storage.

The sign dubiously claims a max gradient of 15%. My Wahoo topped out at just over 6% which felt about right.

The kitchen typically closes at hour before the cafe does so get here in plenty of time if you want to order food.

4km long road through the heart of Thorpe Woodlands. Includes a 2.5km and a 1.25km straight, linked by a gentle curve, that are wide with a fairly even surface and sheltered from the wind by the trees: perfect for an interval session or a fast pace line.

The approach from the A1066 to the south offers a short but fast descent (max 7%) to the River Thet, a rarity in this part of the world. Watch out for the off-camber 90 degree left turn at the bottom, with a large pot hole in the middle, which can easily catch you out.

Nice location opposite the village church. There are a few tables out front where you can sit with your bike.

As the name aptly suggests; it's all in the photos. Nothing more to add. I was on a 200km touring ride, not attempting a KOM or some such. A very pleasant surprise nonetheless to hv encountered it - had no previous knowledge of its existence - glad to hv found it by pure coincidence. Always brings a smile to face to see cycling 'non-business' related stuff. Just pure awareness, friendly 🚲 stuff. 🙂

Great pub to stop off at on your way through. Friendly staff and locals. Stopped here twice on our cycling weekend in the area.

Scenic setting, tucked against the woods. Access is down a unmade track if you want a closer view so only suitable on road tyres in good weather.

Interesting round tower church. Worth a visit.

Huge views across open countryside and Tibenham Airfield where you might see gliders.

Excellent bike friendly cafe. Good food, friendly staff, nice outdoor seating and decent bike parking.

Upgraded a lot in recent times with a large, partially covered decking area overlooking the water and a bicycle-shaped fountain in the lake!

Watch out for the cattle grids at each end of the heath road, they really rattle you if you hit them at speed!

An odd-looking ruin, the the tower now standing separate from the nave after the middle part of the church collapsed.

Tucked away behind buildings and a high fence so relatively easy to miss despite its size if you’re coming from Buckenham.

Quite a grand church with elaborate stonework. There’s a cafe just to the north (Thu-Sat only) and a general store just to the south.

In a generally flat part of the world a view that goes further than the next hedgerow is a bit of a treat.
