The Ilmenau is an 86-kilometer-long (125-kilometer-long with its source, the Stederau) left and southern tributary of the Elbe in northeastern Lower Saxony. Borg is a district of the municipality of Rosche in the Uelzen district of Lower Saxony. It is located north of the main town of Rosche on the K 16 district road. The municipality of Rosche consists of several districts, including Borg. The Borg disposal center is the second location of the Uelzen Waste Management Company (awb), alongside the depot in Oldenstadt. Here, 18 employees take care of the disposal, recycling, reloading, and storage of waste.
