Coltishall Station is one of the narrow gauge stations on the Bure Valley Railway line. It's also an access point for the nine mile (14.5 km) Bure Valley Path.

Nice gravel track to Wroxham. Easy going on an MTB or Gravel Bike. A good route that avoids some busy roads. Use the segment "Good route out of Norwich Northwards" to leave Norwich via St Clements Hill, cross the North Walsham Road at Spixworth then tag on this segment and it's a useful way of getting to Wroxham.

Medieval stone bridge open to cyclists and pedestrians, providing a handy crossing over the river that avoids the city traffic.

Short route for an acoustic and emtb hardtail to tryout bags. Start anywhere in the thorpe area on the way to woodbastwick Fur and feathers pub for a beer. Mainly cycle ways with farm double track between Honeycombe and salhouse road. Rode down to the Salhouse Broad and back.

Good place to stop for a coffee and to refuel! Toilets here as well.

Norwich Castle is undergoing major works to restore the floors to their original level of the 12th century so future visitors can truly appreciate what life in the castle was like when it was built. It is still possible to appreciate the royal Norman fortress from the outside.

Norwich Castle comprises the castle, a museum and art gallery. The castle site is at least 900 years old but may currently be closed due to redevelopment. The large gallery complex converted from the city’s Victorian prison remains open during the works. It houses collections in archaeology, natural history, regimental history, and fine, decorative and contemporary art. Construction work has begun on the Norwich Castle: Royal Palace Reborn project to transform the medieval castle. Because of the building work and health and safety measures to protect visitors and staff, some areas of the castle site are not open.

Terrific mid-route stop - The Maltsters pub was open for us during lockdown, serving takeaway pizza and drinks (coffee and bottled drinks - we had cider!). The adjacent shop looked like it had normal village shop stuff, including ice cream. Car & bike parking at this spot, and can sit by the river or on the picnic benches. Also toilets, though I'm unsure if these were open for lockdown or not. The boardwalk looked interesting to walk around, however, this was closed on the day we went, for lockdown...

Constructed under the orders of William the Conqueror after the Norman invasion, Norwich Castle is a striking medieval fortification in the city centre. Since 1894, the castle has housed the Norwich Museum and Art Gallery. It holds significant artworks, archaeological finds and objects that reveal the region's diverse history.

Great place to start and finish a circular ride of the northern broads or further afield without having to fight your way out of the city on the main roads. Can do varied loops from here round the broads, and even use the Horning Ferry to cut a ride short and be dropped back here.

Lovely pub on quiet roads, nice place to stop for refreshments. Glamping site too so could be part of a longer tour.
