The best view from Mundesley is just out of the village on the coast rode towards Bacton by the entrance to the lifeboat. Here you are on top of the cliffs and can see for miles.

This beautiful lighthouse is the UK's only independently run lighthouse. I think they should pronounce it as #HappysBurg as it's much more upbeat and positive.

7월 20, 2021, Bromholm Priory Ruins
There is a byway that can be accessed from the left of the main gate way here, not for road bikes though. Site of a Cluniac Priory dedicated to St Andrew and founded 1113 by William de Glanville. Initially subordinate to the Cluniac House at Castle Acre (NHER 4096), it came under direct rule in about 1195 and was dissolved in 1536. Extant remains include the north transept, chapter house, part of the dormitory and two gatehouses. Cropmark evidence and fieldwork have provided detailed information about the extent of the site. World War Two remains at the priory site that were previously recorded under this NHER number have been moved to NHER 27255.

With colorful beach huts and a long stretch of sandy beach, Mundesley seafront is a lovely place to visit. The village grew during the Victorian era after the opening of a railway (which has since gone) when affluent holidaymakers would flock to the village for its fresh sea breeze. Today, the village is still a popular seaside resort and has various holiday chalets, hotels and caravan parks. It also has a popular golf course which was designed by Harry Vardon.

6월 10, 2019, The Lighthouse Inn Campsite and Beer Garden
Nice pub, big beer garden and campsite with electric hookups and showers (great place to stop on a coast tour). Didn't try the food but plenty of people getting stuck in, drinks not too expensive and good enough range to rehydrate on a long ride.

1월 11, 2019, Happisburgh Lighthouse
Built in 1790, this is the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia and still provides safe passage for ships around the treacherous Haisborough Sands. Today, the lighthouse is painted white with three red bands, making for a quirky photograph opportunity. It is the UK's only independently run lighthouse and is open to the public on certain days.

1월 11, 2019, St Mary the Virgin Church, Happisburgh
There was a church recorded here in Domesday Book of 1086. After the Abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539, the church passed to the Bishop of Norwich. The Norman church was completely rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries. However, some of the original stones survive.
