Great little cafe. Good range of breakfast and cakes. Reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of easy / safe bike storage.

Founded in 1107 by William d'Aubigny, the butler to King Henry I, Wymondham Abbey was once a thriving monastery. However, it was closed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under King Henry VIII, with the abbey officially surrendered to the crown in 1538. Today, the building serves as an Anglican parish church.

The kitchen typically closes at hour before the cafe does so get here in plenty of time if you want to order food.

The approach from the A1066 to the south offers a short but fast descent (max 7%) to the River Thet, a rarity in this part of the world. Watch out for the off-camber 90 degree left turn at the bottom, with a large pot hole in the middle, which can easily catch you out.

Nice location opposite the village church. There are a few tables out front where you can sit with your bike.

Great pub to stop off at on your way through. Friendly staff and locals. Stopped here twice on our cycling weekend in the area.

A short distance from the main market square area, on the edge of the town centre. Howard's Cycles is handily just a few yards further down the road if you're in need of any spares or repairs.

Has that curious thing of being impressively intact at one end but partially ruined at the other. Very grand for a parish church!

Just a signal box and a level crossing over the single track line. Not a busy line so the crossing is rarely closed!

Quaint market town with the usual collection of shops and cafes making it a good place for a ride break.

There are bike racks in the car park outside if you're popping in. There are a few outdoor picnic tables so you can keep an eye on your bike.

Has one of the most impressive and well maintained of Norfolk's round tower churches, on prominent view across the village bowling green.

Typical village shop, handy for snacks and refreshments, overlooking the scenic Pulham Market village green. Open every day until 6pm (Sundays 3pm).

Cafe is open 10.00-3.00, closed Sun. There's sometimes a function going on but the cafe is usually open even so.

If there's just one or two of you there's space to prop your bikes out front. Wide range of light lunch options as well as cakes.
