The River Bure is a navigable river which flows into Breydon Water in Great Yarmouth. Coltishall bridge about 10 miles inland is the head of navigation, the furthest larger boats can get.

Listed as one of the '50 Great British Trees', the oak was reputedly where Robert Kett addressed a meeting which resulted in 'Kett's Rebellion' against enclosure of common land and rising living costs. It didn't end well: the Ketts and other rebels were later hung here. Avoid the busy main road and use the cycle path which runs parallel to it just behind the tree.

Road goes through a nice avenue of trees near the junction with Slopers Road.

Nice scenic place to pass by rather than a place to stop, a little room at the side of the road but mostly fenced off.

Built in 1790, Happisburgh Lighthouse is the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia and the only independtly-run lighthouse in the UK. The iconic tower is painted white with three red bands and is 85 feet (26 meters) tall. The light can be seen up to 18 miles (29 km) away. On the former Midland and Great Northern Railway, Hellesdon was once a bustling station. A rural line, it was part of the railway mania that swept the national, causing ranch lines to crop up all over the place. The line was closed in the 1980s and now serves as part of the Marriotts Way cycle and footpath. The trail is named after William Marriott, the manager of the line for over 40 years.
