Protected reserve of open heath and woodland, with a cattle grid at each end. The warning road sign depicting a Native American warrior on horseback isn't one you encounter very often! If anyone does get scalped while crossing the common be sure to leave a comment.

Easily the best coffee for miles around, only diminished by the lack of bike parking or outdoor seating, so it's a case of prop your bike out front where you can see it while you pop in to place your order.

Taking the Drayton Lane cycle path that runs parallel to New Drayton Lane gives you an alternative to navigating the 3-lane roundabout at the Broadland Northway junction.

The Bure Valley Railway is a heritage railway offering a nostalgic trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway, between the historic market town of Aylsham and bustling town of Wroxham, at the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The Whistlestop Cafe on the station is open to visitors who aren't planning a train ride. The one-way journey to Wroxham takes about 45 minutes if you're thinking of including this on your tour - and you'll need a return ticket as they are currently unable to take bikes on board (Sep '22).

Organised cycle rides set off from The Parson Woodforde in Weston Longville every week. The pubs owners have teamed up with Wensum Valley Cycling to offer organised rides on Tuesday mornings, Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Whether you are a club rider, a complete beginner or enthusiast, you are welcome to go along and ride. The club welcomes visitors and you can ride with them 3 times before a membership is required. The middle of an industrial estate isn't the most obvious destination - but the team at Tri Harder UK are friendly and helpful and the coffee and cake at the Iron Horse are well worth going a little out of your way.

Good spot for a stop on a sunny day, also very close to the pub

Nice pub, good drinks and some decent food. Limited outside seating, you can normally see your bikes from inside the pub.

Nice quiet road from Weston to Ringland, past the pigs and on rolling slopes
