Great trail through the woods - magnificent pine trees! Looks like it could get a bit muddy in places if there's been a lot of rain 🌧️ - Great in the dry though! This is a good link as you move on to Laming Gap Lane and then join the bridleway to get you safely over the A46 and journey on to the villages of Kinoulton, Hickling and beyond...🚴👍

Wysall is a tremendously attractive Nottinghamshire village. A number of trails and minor roads enable you to explore the rolling Wolds and the nearby woodland. Bunny Old Wood Nature Reserve is a short walk away and is magical during the warmer months. The walker-friendly Plough Inn is a popular pub that serves great pub lunches. There's a beautiful garden for the summer and a cosy log fire for those brisk winter evenings.

The village of Willoughby is a great base for exploring the verdant countryside of the Wolds. The village has close links to the nearby Roman staging post of Vernometum on the Fosse Way. Nearby, the Millenium Wood makes for a lovely little amble. Part of the Woodland Trust's 'Woods On Your Doorstep' scheme, it is a great example of how communities can come together to add nature to the local environment.

A great place to call in for refreshments and to feed or pet the animals (free for customers). There's no restaurant / cafe as such but you could buy drinks and cakes and eat them in the yard while looking at the goats / peacocks / alpacas etc.
