Lovely afternoon sunshine at Carsington Water. The Waterside Cafe doing a great job with a good variety of snacks, including veggie and vegan options - and there was enough food left for a late lunch on a busy Sunday!

This charming little village is located nearby to Ashbourne in Derbyshire. It's nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Peak District and is characterised by historic stone cottages and a rural atmosphere. I'd recommend a stop at The Cock Inn, a beautiful traditional pub serving up food and real ales.

A good place to visit with a number of cafes and pubs.

The strong winds are very powerful across the dam wall. Those who cycle with children may want to use the road for the dam wall section on these occasions.

really good ride experience going around carsington - the east side is packed with short climbs n downs, west side is mostly flat with refreshment stops. the main visitor centre is pricey compared to the other options
