If you've joined the trail from the steep ascent up Curbar Edge, it's now a much gentler climb to reach Froggatt Edge. An opportunity to restore some strength and enjoy the views.

Great view point

Grindleford Community Shop is worth a visit for local produce but also a cuppa and cake post-hike. The community members who run it are always friendly and have all in inside knowledge of the area. It's in the grounds of the church.

Very sandy soil. Made for lots of grit in the drivetrain.

Keep to the edge of the ridge.if you use the path you may miss it

In the vestry of St Helen’s church it sells artisan bread from Welbeck bakery as well as a range of local products. Tea, coffee and locally baked cakes are also available.

Quaint village shop in the church grounds that do tea, coffee, cake etc. Very nice and relaxed seating in the church grounds and set well back from the road. A nice retreat from the sun on a hot day too.

Eyam tea rooms!

White Edge is a boulder jumble of an edge, it lacks the sheer cliff faces of nearby Froggatt and Curbar but makes up for this with amazing views and lower footfall. The edge runs across Big Moor to the east of and roughly parallel with Froggatt Edge. The trail is gravelly and well-defined with a few big rocks to keep you concentrating.

Mostly downhill west to east- rocky second half but v rideable on gravel

Super family freindly away from traffic cycle way with cafes! Make sure you dodge them tourists!

Nice old pub with variety of Ales and some good session IPA

We did this when dry, and the sand allowed for peaktop dancing. 99% rideable for a gravel bike and worth all the climbing. Great section

Not always called the Miners Arms as until 1764 it was called the Kings Head. The present name derives from the many meetings the mine owners used to have here, mining lead and fluorspar, and calling themselves the Barmote Court, deciding things such as land rights etc. ​Since 1812 the inn has also been used for meetings of the Prosecution of Felons committee, which is still in existence. There are many documented parts of the inn's history around the pub, and as you would expect, the inn is also rumoured to be haunted. Reputedly by two young girls who died in a fire on the site before it was built and by an ex-landlady who was murdered by her husband who is said to roam the corridors at night with her old fashioned dress making a loud rustling noise. ​ Built in 1630 just before the great plague found its way to Eyam our historical building is set in the centre of this beautiful Peak District village in Derbyshire. The Miners Arms is the only remaining public house in the village

Perfect bonk stop. Village square has a few cafes that are a favourite for cyclists and runners. Coffee and cake are great and at a decent price.

Great little community cafe and shop, selling cakes and drinks to keep you going on your walk or ride.

Great trail linking Stoney Middleton and Eyam. It gets technical in places but all ridable. Sweet up or down.

The ride from Grindleford to the top is open to cars but its only the occasional vehicle driving to park at the top. Just take care for that if coming downhill at speed or with chidren..but its rare
