Cork Stone is one of several interesting standing stones on Stanton Moor. It is 5m tall piece of weathered sandstone located above the remnants of a quarry site. At some point hollowed out steps and metal rings were added to allow people (kids and their grownups!) to climb to the top

Dotted around the Stanton Moor area are the remnants of old quarries, featuring some interestingly-shaped rock formations.

Peak Tor, also known as Pillow Hill, is beautiful 'sugarloaf' mound situated near Congreave and Rowsley. The hill, which is covered in Beech trees and has a dry moat surrounding it, used to be an ancient Celtic settlement. It creates a stunning vista as you pass through the country roads and is very characteristic of the Peak District.

Enjoy pleasant riverside scenery as you pass over an old stone bridge that spans over the River Wye.
