From Blackpool Tower to Fleetwood is a good run (loop) stick to the far left of the Promenade away from the tourists best from 7pm

Two buildings were constructed on the Mount- a pavilion made in 1838 and a lodge in 1841. The Lodge was a neo classical style low building split into two houses for the grounds keeper and the gardener of the Regency style garden. The original pavilion on top of the Mount was a ten sided Chinese style pagoda, and was used for decades as a tea room. It also had a secondary function as a weather observation station.

A little bumpy in places and can get very busy on hot days. Watch out for kids' dogs

Great pie/sandwich shop on Garstang High St. Fantastic place to grab a takeaway pie, sandwich and brew during a ride, beaches nearby for somewhere to sit whilst you scoff your grub.

At the summit of Nicky Nook, runners are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. On a clear day, it is possible to see across the Forest of Bowland and even catch glimpses of the distant Lake District and Morecambe Bay.

Grizedale Reservoir is a serene and scenic location within the Forest of Bowland AONB, offering a peaceful retreat and good pathways for runners who appreciate the natural beauty of Lancashire's countryside.

Be mindful that in season the promenade can be quite busy and as the cycle way merges with pedestrianises zones take it nice and slow and use that bell! People, children and dogs all over the place and often never see you.

Stunning coastal ride with nice cafe’s, shops, & places to grab a lovely bite to eat and relax on sea front taking in the views :) On a sunny day you can witness a stunning sunset & sunrise mostly always open throughout the year :)

The Blackpool Tower opened in 1894 and is said to be one of the most recognisable buildings in the UK. Illuminated at night and during the Blackpool illuminations it's a fun place to run, especially in the evening when it's all lit up. The seafront offers miles of good running with easy surfaces and flat terrain, but the main areas can be very busy so it's often best early or late.

The Blackpool Illuminations is a lights festival that runs from late August to early November each year. They light up the sea front from Starr Gate in the south to Bispham in the north. The seafront is a fun run at any time but if you are there during the illuminations try the run in the evening, you won't need a head torch!
