Halfpenny Green Airport makes for a nice bike stop. Once you follow the blue line to the cafe, avoiding those fast things coming in to land as you cross the runway, you can have a nice half hour or so watching the planes land and take off whilst enjoying a coffee and bun!

Super nice and very scenic canal section with nice views. The Staffs and Worcs Canal makes for a good detour to avoid the busy road traffic of Kidderminster. There are stunning rural and urban views to be had from the canalised.

This woodland is believed to have been around since the end of the Ice Age, around 6-10,000 years ago! Evidence of this long history is seen in the presence of ancient woodland species, including yellow archangel, herb paris, and dog’s mercury, as well as trees like small-leaved lime and wild service trees

Although it's located on a B-road. The road is mostly traffic-free, with occasional cars passing through. Great views of Severn Valley, Worcester, Droitwich, and even Bredon Hill can be seen. Quite a good climb

Quite a busy bridge on B-road to Tenbury. However, water in River Teme is brilliant as always, so may be worth stopping right before the bridge.

Little, though lovely town, on the border of Shropshire and Worcestershire counties. Very beautiful high street with some cafés

Very recommended. Well located for cyclist: Wyre Forest, River Severn Valley, possible start in Ironbridge/Bridgnorth direction.

Nice stop to rest and have some snacks before hilly roads ahead.

There is a very convenient bench at the side of the road. Good spot for a breather and some refreshment.

Great to stop for a coffee or lunch, plenty of pubs and little cafes on the high street. Pembroke House or the Fountain Inn have some really good lunch menus. If you fancy a hill challenge you can take the road from Tenbury to Clee Hill.

Bewdley was once an important inland port, connecting Shrewsbury with the Midlands and the seaports of Gloucester and Bristol. Originally the quays were shorter and had slipways between them. In time, as more landing space was needed, the quayside walls were joined into one continuous length. The larger boats, known as Severn Trows, carried local goods such as rope and charcoal, metal goods from Birmingham and Staffordshire pottery to the south. They returned laden with woollen cloth, wine, spirits, tobacco, sugar, spices, citrus fruit and dried fish to be sold in market towns across the West Midlands and Welsh borders. This civic space was developed when the Environment Agency built the Town's new flood defences, and incorporates work by artist Elizabeth-Jane Grose. On the lower quayside you can find flowing words relating to the river and the vessels that worked on it. On the upper quayside have a look for the 'cargo-plates' recording forty of the common and less common exports and imports to the Port of Bewdley. Source: Environment Agency

Bewdley Bridge over the Severn was built in 1798 by Thomas Telford. It was erected to replace the 1483 medieval bridge that was swept away in the floods of 1795.
