Nice flat route but can get a bit busy

Great climb

It's a brilliant place. I see lots of Jewish people enjoying a family day on the river and that SOUND of water. Nice place to be.

The Hertfordshire town of Broxbourne is surrounded by great hiking trails. To the west is Broxbourne Woods, which is the county's only national nature reserve and boasts myriad trails. Watery walks include a stroll along the New River Path or Lea Valley Walk long-distance paths. After a day on the trails, there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the town.

There is a roughly parallel route back to the south, via Brickendon. Together it's sometimes called the Hertford South Loop. It uses wider lanes, goes through Broxbourne Woods, passes a pub in Brickendon, but is not too busy for pleasant cycling

Lovely lane through farmland and low hedges. Watch out for the gravelly bits though.

Hilly start when travelling southbound. With climbs interspersed, lovely quiet road but narrow so watch for cars, you may have to get off on the dirt to let them pass.
