Sat in the middle of Ash Ranges is this unnamed hill which is one of the highest points on the ranges. From here you can see almost all of the ranges themselves and also Woking and Guildford and beyond towards London. I run around the range road on the outskirts of Ash Ranges but this hill in the middle is well worth visiting on your run when the red flags are down. The open summit of Holmbury Hill offers beautiful panoramic views. A delightful toposcope adds to the pleasure allowing you to identify features over 20 miles away. For example, from here on a clear day it is straightforward to see the prehistoric hill fort of Chanctonbury Ring on the South Downs located 20 miles (32 km) due south. Holmbury Hill is one of the three classic Surrey hills - along with Box Hill and Leith Hill - included in the ‘Surrey Three Peaks Challenge’. This 23-mile (37 km) round trip is comparable in distance to the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge but has a third less climbing. For less energetic hikers there is also a pleasant shorter three peaks Surrey walk comprising Pitch Hill, Holmbury Hill and Leith Hill which has a round trip length of 12 miles (19 km).

Crooksbury Hill is a wooded hilltop standing at 166m high in the Surrey Hills AONB. The hill is known for its scenic views and diversity of habitat, including heathland and woodland that provides a home to a variety of wildlife, such as butterflies and birds of prey.

Newlands Corner sits upon the North Downs Way and is a fantastic spot to sit and take a break. You can also pick up some refreshments here too as there is a café in the car park. It is popular but there really is plenty of wide open space so pick your spot and enjoy the view. It is here that Agatha Christie's car was found after she went missing for 11 days in 1926.

One of the most well known spots in the Surrey Hills, Newlands corner is almost like the gateway to the North Downs and Guildford.

On top of St. Martha's Hill. Very picturesque, and beautiful views over the Surrey Hills, all the way to the South Downs. The route up/down (on the eastern side) is very sandy and very steep. Expect a bit of hike-a-bike.

Depending on the time of the day the queue for food is very long. Beautiful views. A25 is a bit too busy for me.
