Make sure you go up and down - down is more fun. There's jumps to be had if there are no people in the way and your bike can handle it.

A peaceful part of the Grand Union Canal that has great views on both sides, especially of Perivale Wood Local Nature Reserve. Enjoy the serenity.

The entrance to a fine area for gravel and off-road riding (and running). As you cross over the water going towards Yeading, the expansive green space opens up in front of you. The tracks can be quite muddy if it's been wet recently, so then only attempt them with good off-road tyres. In the dry, however, most bike tyre are suitable.

First opened in 1839, today Southall Station is one of the stops on the modern Elizabeth Line. The creation of the line, known as Crossrail during its construction, was a hugely ambitious project to provide a new transport link across the capital. Operation began in May 2022 and the line was named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II, who died in the September of the same year.

The Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal links the GUC proper with the Regent's Canal in central London. This section passes pretty Perival Wood to the south of Horsenden Hill. The tow-path is part of the Grand Union Canal Walk and feels like a nice green rural escape from the city.
