The summit of Falkenuten is the perfect reward after the climb up the unique stone path. From up here, a spectacular 360-degree view awaits you, unparalleled. It's an ideal place to take a break, enjoy the peace and quiet, and take in the impressive landscape.

The DNT Hellevassbu is a self-catering cabin where you can sleep and buy groceries. You need a special key for this cabin, which you can rent from the DNT. You can pay via the app or afterward using a special form. In addition to a kitchen with a gas stove, the DNT mountain cabins usually offer a spacious living area with comfortable seating.

one of the best preserved Norwegian stave churches. You can only enter during the museum's opening hours with guided tours at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., and you need a museum ticket (60 NOK)

Lovingly put together open-air farm museum. The actual museum building is permanently closed from mid-September for the rest of the year.

There is good food here and it is very cheap to stay overnight as a DNT member under 25 if you have your own bed linen. We had a compact four-person room in a small wooden hut.

A special highlight on the museum grounds is the replica of the Telemark Canal on a scale of 1:1000. Here everyone can operate the locks themselves and drain the entire body of water.

Very pleasant bakery that sometimes saves lives. When we were there we were able to dry our wet clothes by the fireplace. And there are goodies too.
