Atlungstad Brenneri is a historic distillery founded in 1855 on the shores of Lake Mjøsa, vividly blending Norwegian farming heritage with craft spirit production. Set in a beautifully restored industrial-heritage site, the distillery hosts cultural events, tasting experiences and lakeside dining, a unique stop on any itinerary around Norway’s largest lake.

From this vantage point on the Vorma river, you have a splendid view of lake Mjøsa and two bridges, one for vehicles and the other for railways. Here, you can cross the river safely thanks to a cycle path.

Beautiful beach. Swimming is only allowed, however, if the seagulls and geese are not pooping much and the water quality is sufficient in regular tests.

Here you can throw yourself into Lake Mjøsa from a height of five meters. By the way: The construction of the diving tower is said to have devoured 28 million Norwegian kroner (equivalent to around 2.7 million euros), which has earned it the unofficial title of “the most expensive diving tower in the world”.

From here you can enjoy a great view of the Hamar Olympic Hall, which was built for the 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer. The shape of the hall was modeled on a capsized Viking ship, hence its name: Vikingskipet.
