Upper Brakkåfallet is located a few hundred metres from the Z819 highway. You will find an information board and signage close to the start of the path. This path will take you the few hundred metres to a beautiful waterfall. Make sure you don't miss the lower falls too.

Anyone passing through might want to stop here. It's pretty, but not spectacular by Swedish standards.

A very welcome rest stop. It blends in perfectly with the surroundings. Please take your trash with you after your rest.

The short, steep hike to the Brakkåfallet waterfall leads along a small path that requires surefootedness. After a short time you reach the lower Brakkåfallet and just a few minutes later the upper Brakkåfallet. A short but worthwhile excursion.

From here it actually goes further into the karst landscape. The water at the bottom of the stairs was so high that we couldn't get over the river. On the other side it goes up the stairs again and on.
