Vattind (418 meters above sea level) is the highest mountain peak on the island of Leka.

The most famous sight and an architectural landmark is the Norveg Coastal Museum. The critically acclaimed museum building was designed by architect Guðmundur Jónsson. The museum documents the history of the coastal inhabitants and their Jobs. Here you will learn all about the culture and history of the region over the past 10,000 years - from the first people who settled here to the current challenges as one of the world's leading fishing nations. Thanks to its favorable location by the sea and its importance as a transport hub between northern and southern Norway, Rørvik grew into the charming coastal town it is today.

Rørvik, the port town on the island of Inner-Vikna on the western shore of the Nærøysundet strait. It lies in the eastern part of the Vikna archipelago, which consists of around 6,000 islands, islets and reefs. The city is surrounded by a typical coastal landscape. With its older and newer wooden houses, Rørvik exudes a typical small-town charm.
