One of many green spaces where people gather on a sunny day. Close to the University of Technology you'll often find plenty of students hanging out here.

Grea views of Trondheimsfjorden from the well-paved road. It's pretty flat so with a good wind you can pick up some decent speed between Flakk and Rye.

Storsand in Melhus, Trøndelag, is a small village situated east of the Gaula River, just south of the main town of Melhus. It's a residential area with some industry, and in 2023 had a population of 477. Notably, the E06 highway and the Dovrebanen railway pass through it, and the historic Melhus Church is located there.

You will barely know where to look: each part of your view from the bike saddle is stunning here.

A highlight of a walk along the Nidelva is accessed these little islands via their bridges. It provides a new perspective of the river and adds excitement to your hike.

We were served a typical Norwegian meal here: a soup with potatoes, meatballs, pieces of meat and carrots. Then came a delicious dessert. Tasty and filling. The lady of the house was dressed in a traditional dress. She also told us that they would stop receiving pilgrims 1 week later... (date of this letter is 08-08-2024).

Very nice little park to stay or stay overnight. Clean toilets and fresh water. several fire pits and shelters also right on the river. A really nice place.
