Yes, we also visited this waterfall on May 28, 2024. Unfortunately, it started to rain halfway through, but that didn't stop us from doing the hike. There was plenty of water! It's a very beautiful hike and I highly recommend it!

Thanks to the description, we found the path easily today. Interestingly, our dog showed us the way. This meant we were able to find the crash site without looking at our mobile phones. If you are traveling in Norway, a hike there is recommended, even if a large part of the route is on a gravel path.

Very nice tour, but demanding. Sturdy shoes are necessary, the path is very wet and steep in places. Not recommended for children under 10 years. Medieval mill on the way (open the door of the hut). Beautiful views. We started at the campsite, but you can drive closer.

The climb from camping Neset to the top is tough but easy to do. A beautiful view at the top. Please note that the southern descent from the top to Byglandsfjord is poorly signposted. Due to forest clearing, the last 3 km descent from Areklepp to Byglandsfjord is not maintained. It is really looking for something that looks like a path here. During the southern descent you will pass through a lot of swampy and wet area. High waterproof shoes are necessary.

Super cottages with complete facilities. Breakfast can be booked at the hotel. For cyclists, an overnight stay is ideal to start from there to the Lysefjord.

Good hotel, friendly service and good food. But pricy as a cabin can set you back 120 euros without bed linnen. But pricy is the same everywhere in Norway :-)
