The Evangelical Lutheran Mandal Church (Mandal Church) is a wooden church in Mandal, Lindesnes municipality in Agder county, Norway. With 1,800 seats, it is the largest wooden church and one of the largest wooden buildings in Norway. The church was built after the great fire of Mandal in 1810 and consecrated in 1821. Before the fire, a 15th-century stone church stood on the old market square, where the former town center was located. Mandal is very beautiful. Be sure to visit the old town, the largest wooden church in Norway, the harbor and the viewpoint.

The church is definitely worth a visit.

The memorial to the MS Palatia, a German freighter sunk off the Norwegian coast in 1942 by a New Zealand torpedo bomber. It was believed to be a ship carrying German troops on its way to Norway to supply ships. However, the ship was carrying 914 Russian prisoners of war. A total of 986 people lost their lives, including almost all Russian prisoners and a Norwegian pilot.
