Ausevika is just 40 minutes from Florø (by car), towards Stavang. A few hundred drawings show people, animals and everyday situations that were carved into the rock here around 3,000 years ago. It's worth it as a stopover if you're in the area anyway.

You can get to the lake from Askvoll on well-signposted paths. The wooden bridge on the last quarter of the path should not be taken, as the path runs in "green" horsetail meadows in flat water. Only a few meters from the bridge there are stones in the river bed and you can walk past the meadow without getting your feet wet. At the end of the trail you can either take a refreshing dip or pause on the plateau across the lake.
