The place names Rötenbach and Rötenberg suggest that these two places have a close historical connection. Today they not only belong to different municipalities, Alpirsbach-Rötenbach and Aichhalden-Rötenberg, they are even located in other administrative districts, namely Karlsruhe and Freiburg. So it's a border between two parts of the country, which you can quickly cross on a racing bike. Moderate traffic, nice to ride a racing bike, especially enjoyable downhill.
