We walked in the opposite direction. Not recommended on hot days, as the cooling off at the end is really nice. Good shoes are a must. If you're traveling by electric car, park after the bridge and charge your car while you walk.

The Pèrolles Bridge is a mighty, high bridge with concrete arches that spans the deeply cut river Saane (La Sarine) and connects the Marly district with the Boulevard de Pèrolles. It offers very nice views of the river valley, but is limited by the rather high concrete walls on both sides. Interesting hiking trails run under the bridge. There are numerous climbing aids on many of the walls of the high concrete pillars.

At the south-western exit of the tunnel, an exciting path runs above the dammed Saane (or Lake Pèrolles) with beautiful views of the river/lake - embedded in a gorge-like valley with meadows, reeds, forests, mountain slopes and rock faces.
