The Ardennes begin gradually in the Dutch-Belgian border region. There are wonderfully expansive views of the landscape.

A 20th-century cross, located just before/after the well-known St. Anne's Chapel at a crossroads. The cross is cataloged by the municipality of Aubel, but without any specifications other than "20th century." The chapel has its own unique highlight.

The Chapelle Sainte-Anne in Aubel is a historic field chapel dating from 1658, located on Eyckerweg northwest of the village center. Dedicated to Saint Anne, the chapel was rebuilt in the early 19th century using brick on a sandstone base, retaining the original 17th-century limestone facade. Inside, there is a wooden altar with a statue of Saint Anne holding a bunch of grapes, a symbol of fertility, and a polychrome statue of the Virgin Mary from the same period.

Be careful, there are a lot of roots and small jumps.

The Rochus Chapel was already known in the mid-17th century (1650). It was the first place of worship on the mountain. The surrounding old farmsteads, some of which are still well preserved, formed the first village center of Kelmis, which was mentioned in 1445 as having 30 tax payers, including at least one miner.
