A magnificent view of the Rhône from the bridge. There is a walking path where you can take a photo and enjoy the scenery. After the bridge on the right when leaving Sierre you will see a small rest area with several benches (along the river).

From this point of the bridge, you can admire the view of the Rhône and further on the Pic du Haut de Cry. The summit culminates at 2969 m. There are several mountain pastures on its slopes and vineyards in Borrom. The first ascent of the summit dates back to 1864.

For half a century, the castle served mainly as a summer residence for the Mercier family until its donation to the canton of Valais in 1991. Since then, as required by the conditions of the donation, the castle and the adjoining park are mainly used for public, cultural and artistic purposes.
