Around the square you will find beautiful historic buildings, cozy cafés and restaurants, and a vibrant atmosphere that forms the heart of the city. The square is also a place where events and markets are regularly held, such as the weekly market and special festivities such as the Adriaen Brouwer Beer Festival. It is a meeting place for both locals and visitors and offers beautiful views of the surrounding architecture, including the St. Walburga Church.
